The Fernsehturm Hamburg (TV Tower Hamburg) is the city's tallest structure and the third talles TV Tower in Europe. This communications tower rests in the center of Hamburg on a man-made lake and stands 264.5 meters above ground level. Completed in 1969, this sight is not only an impressive structure to see, but it offers a great place for travelers and photographers to take in a panoramic view of the city. From the observation deck of the tower one can enjoy a clear and uninterrupted view, free of the many tall buildings that form the Hamburg skyline. Visitors may also ascend the tower and visit the revolving restaurant situated at 203 meters above ground level.
