Falaise d'Aval

Falaise d'Aval is a stunning, 170-metre-high, white chalk cliff on the northwestern coast of France, found within the commune of Étretat. It is one of the most iconic and recognisable landmarks of the region and the country. It is part of a trio of famed cliffs - including Falaise d'Amont and Falaise Manneville - that offer breathtaking views of the sea and the sky above. Visitors can explore the beach and embark on scenic hikes along the coastal path. On the highest point of the cliff, there is a 19th-century chapel dedicated to Notre Dame de la Garde.
