Dewey Point

Dewey Point overlooks a stunning Yosemite Valley vista from an elevation of 7,500 feet. On clear days, visitors can take in sweeping views of Liberty Cap and Half Dome, as well as Cathedral Rocks, El Capitan and Bridalveil Falls. Dewey Point's popular trail is a very easy 1.2 miles with a mostly continuous uphill walk that yields delicate wildflowers and big views. There are many photo opportunities available on this trail and it is the best place to take photos of the sunset, especially during the spring months. Be sure to bring extra water and snacks, as well as clothing layers and sunscreen since the elevation changes drastically.
