Chernigovskiy Skit

Chernigovskiy Skit is a beautiful Orthodox church and monastic complex located in the city of Sergiyev Posad in the Moskovskaya Oblast in Russia. It was founded in 1157 by Prince Mikhailovitch, who was known as the Grand Prince of Chernigov. The complex overlooks dense forests, which makes it a stunning sight, especially in autumn when it turns into a palette of autumnal colours. This skit is one of the ancient monuments of Russian culture and history, and is home to the relics of St. Dula, the former prince of Chernigov, and the icons of St. Nicholas and St. John of Sergiyev Posad. Tourists are welcome to take part in Divine Liturgy, which is celebrated every Sunday.
