Aiguille du Midi

Aiguille du Midi is an impressive mountain peak in the French Alps of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, straddling the French and Italian border. At an altitude of 3,842 metres, Aiguille du Midi is the highest peak in the Mont Blanc Massif, and one of the best places to take in stunning views of the entire region. The peak is accessible via a cable car from the nearby town of Chamonix, offering access to viewing platforms, ice caves, and a variety of mountaineering routes. The peak also includes a number of metal and concrete pathways that were built in order to explore the mountain's glaciated terrain. There are a variety of challenging climbing routes available, though if one prefers easier routes, they can take a hike on the nearby Glacier des Bossons.
