
Veste Coburg is an impressive fortification situated atop a hill in the Bavarian city of Coburg, Germany. Dating back to 1056, it has served as the home and base of power for the Dukes of Coburg for centuries. Today, the castle is a museum and a popular tourist destination. It contains both permanent and temporary exhibitions displaying the history, culture, and life of Coburg and its inhabitants. The castle offers a panoramic view of the city as well as the beautiful scenery of Franconia. Inside, visitors can explore courtyards, defensive walls, and towers, such as the Kunstturm or Art Tower.
