Southwold Lighthouse

The Southwold Lighthouse is located in a bustling fishing port of Southwold in Suffolk, United Kingdom. It stands tall and marks the entrance to the Blyth Estuary. This 19th century lighthouse was built of brick and flint and is a much-loved local landmark. The public are permitted to enter the tower and climb up the staircase to the top of the lamp room, where the views are spectacular. There is also a museum and café in the lighthouse. The area around the lighthouse is a fantastic spot for birdwatching, with various seabirds and waders often spotted. A boardwalk nearby provides visitors with the perfect opportunity for a leisurely stroll along the quayside and offers breathtaking views of the coastline and inland too.
