Simion Bărnuțiu Park is the most popular park in Cluj-Napoca, in Transylvania. It's located in the center of the city, between the northern train station and the new mayoralty area. The park is named after a Transylvanian-born Romanian lawyer, politician and publicist, Simion Bărnuțiu.
In the park you will find a statue of the famous Simion Bărnuțiu, surrounded by oaks, chestnut and beech trees. This park offers a great environment for a walk or a picnic, as it includes with several benches, paths and a small lake. The park also incorporates an Artificial Cave, the only one of its kind in Romania. There is also a playground, a volleyball and football field, table tennis and chess tables. Visiting the park is a pleasant experience, as it combines a green area, historical monuments, flowery gardens and recreation areas. It will also offer you a great view of the city.
