Rotonda de la Fuente

The Rotonda de la Fuente is a famous monument located in Parque San Martín, Argentina. Its distinctive construction, dating back to the early 1900s, immediately catches the eye: two semi-circular buildings with four violet columns located between them, a terrace and a cupola. The monument is important to Argentina, having once served as a meeting point for the revolutionary leaders of the country. Visitors can view a mosaic of native animals, such as birds and guanaco, as well as stunning 15th century frescoes from Seville depicting the mythical abduction of Ines de Castro by Pedro I. On the terrace, there stands a domed construction marking the geodesic center of the country. Visitors can also take advantage of opportunities to take photos of the surrounding park.
