
Rooibank Church is a historical site in Rooibank, Namibia. The church was built in the 19th century by the German Missionaries and is one of the only remaining examples of a German Colonial church in the country. It is a stunningly preserved red-brick building that stands out against the arid desert landscape. The sanctuary is decorated with vintage furnishings and a large clay crucifix at the top of the altar, still intact after more than 100 years. The church is surrounded by 8 native laurel trees, making it a popular spot for birds and other wildlife. Rooibank Church is open to visitors, although the key an be obtained from local inhabitants.
