Robin Hood’s Bay, in the coastal town of Whitby, North Yorkshire, England, is a picturesque fishing village full of charm. Bordered by cliffs and the ocean, it is a unique blend of cobbled streets, sandstone cottages, rock pools and numerous smugglers’ coves with breathtaking views. Rich in history and incredibly atmospheric, it is a great place to explore and photograph. Take in the picturesque harbor, venture along the beach, take in the spectacular views of the rugged Whitby coast and take a coastal walk. You can also pick up souvenirs from the many shops, art galleries and cafes. Don’t forget to take a look at the old lifeboat station, where the boats now rest aloft on the wall of an old fishing warehouse. The village itself is a designated Conservation Area. Make sure to also visit the iconic Church of St. Stephen which overlooks the beach – a great view for photographers.
