Reichsburg Cochem

Reichsburg Cochem is an enchanting castle in the beautiful town of Cochem, Germany. Located on a hill above the Moselle River, the castle dominates the town in the picturesque Mosel Valley. Built in the 12th century, the castle was first owned by the Counts of Cochem and later by the Princes of Salm-Salm before it was destroyed in 1689 by Louis XIV of France. It was rebuilt in the 19th century in a neo-Gothic style.
