The Ponts Couverts is an iconic architectural landmark in Strasbourg's historic Petite France district. Built in the 17th century, the three medieval bridges - each with a small gateway guarded by a tower - served to protect the city from the River Ill. Today, the three bridges stand as a reminder of Strasbourg’s medieval past, with the two main towers connected by a long, arched gallery. From the top of the bridges, visitors will get a stunning view of Petite France. The cobblestone lining the sides of the bridge is also a popular attraction and attracts photography enthusiasts looking to capture the medieval vibes. If you're looking to explore this architectural gem, there are boat tours available that allow visitors a chance to get up close to the bridge.
