Trails lead through the region's stunning pine tree forests where you can observe red-billed choughs, booted eagles, and other native birds. The area is also home to several archaeological sites and abandoned mines, making it an interesting destination to explore. The nearby village of Santa Inés can provide basic amenities like restaurants and shops while nearby Cabo de Gata offers plenty of accommodation options.
