Meteorological Mountain Observatory

Meteorological Mountain Observatory, also called Karpacz Mountain Observatory, is located in the Sudety Mountains in Karpacz, Poland. It was built in 1894 and is one of the last remaining meteorological observatories in the country. The observatory provides a stunning combination of breathtaking mountain landscapes and scientific research. There is a museum located on site which contains expositions related to the history and work done at the observatory. With the use of traditional and modern measuring tools, the observatory is the perfect place for amateur and professional meteorologists alike. Visitors can take a short hike up to the top of the mountain and back down again, exploring the trails and meandering down the slopes. There are also some small shops, cafés and beer gardens at the observatory. A visit to the observatory provides an inspiring opportunity to experience weather measurement at its best.
