Madliena Chapel

Madliena Chapel, located in Ħad-Dingli, Malta, is a small chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. It is said to have been built in the 16th century and is considered one of the oldest chapels on the island. On the exterior, one can view an 18th century bell tower and a marble cross from 1938. The interior of the chapel is decorated with frescoes of biblical scenes and former altars, as well as a wooden statue of Our Lady of Sorrows. The chapel is still open for outside visits, but don't plan to visit inside on a regular basis as it's only opened for certain occasions. Still, the surrounding landscape makes it a beautiful spot for landscape photography. It is located by a beautiful rocky promontory, with a wonderful view of the nearby Wied Is-Sewda valley and Dingli Cliffs.
