Imperial Beach

Imperial Beach is a city located in San Diego County in the U.S. state of California. It is situated right along the Pacific Ocean, 14 miles south of downtown San Diego and 80 miles north of the Mexico border. The beach here is a great place for relaxing, swimming, surfing, and beach volleyball, and there is also a fishing pier and a boardwalk. Additionally, it hosts a variety of festivals and events like the Imperial Beach Sun & Sea Festival and the U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition. Imperial Beach is a vibrant beach city with a range of outdoor activities to offer. Visitors can get up close and explore the restored wetlands, bird habitats, and nature reserves in the Tijuana Estuary National Estuarine Research Reserve.
