Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Castillo

Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Castillo is an ancient church located in the small village of Calatañazor in Zaragoza (Spain). The present building was built in the 14th century in the Mudejar style and stands on the same spot where a 10th century Moorish castle stood before. The main entrance consists of a tower with a round arch surrounded by decorative tiles. Inside, you can find a cloister, intricate galleries, and two chapels with Renaissance and Baroque features. The church also features beautiful Mudejar ceiling and wall decorations and a altarpiece from the 17th century. Outside you can find a small garden and a ornate fountain. This small and remote church is definitely a hidden gem of Spain.
