Gyeongbokgung Palace is an iconic destination in Seoul, South Korea. The palace was built in 1395 as the main palace complex of the Joseon Dynasty and was one of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty. The palace is made up of various buildings and different parts, with the most iconic being the Geunjeongjeon Hall, which is the throne hall of the King. The entrance to the palace grounds is via a main gate, Gwanghwamun, which is a great spot for photos. Once inside, visitors can explore the palace grounds, the numerous buildings and courtyards, and take photos of traditional Korean architecture. The palace also hosts cultural performances within, including the Changing of the Guard ceremony and the Royal Guard parade. It is also close to other attractions such as the National Folk Museum. A visit to Gyeongbokgung is one of the must-do things in Seoul.
