Erzsébet Bridge

Erzsébet Bridge is one of the most beautiful bridges in Budapest, Hungary. It spans the Danube river between the cities of Pest and Buda. The bridge was constructed between 1872 and 1876 and named in honor of Queen Elisabeth of Hungary, who reigned from 1867-1914. It is a suspension bridge with seven arches designed by Scottish engineer Adam Clark. The bridge is illuminated at night, making it a sight to behold. When you are crossing the bridge, you can take in stunning views of the Buda Castle Hill, Gellért Hill, Grand Market Hall and Margaret Island. Public transport across the bridge includes four metro lines, one tram line and several bus lines.
