Eiffel Tower

The iconic Eiffel Tower in Suresnes, France was designed by Gustave Eiffel, and was built between 1887-1889. It stands at 324 meters (1,063 feet) tall, making it the tallest structure in Paris and the most-visited paid monument in the world, welcoming over 7 million visitors annually. It is best known for its iron lattice tower, with its famous viewing platform, the Eiffel Tower Observatory, at a height of 276 meters (906 feet). The tower is particularly known for its spectacular nighttime sparkling display, with 20,000 bulbs constantly sparkling for five minutes every hour. The Eiffel Tower also houses two restaurants, both at the very top of the iconic Tower: 58 Tour Eiffel and Le Jules Verne By Alain Ducasse, perfect for a romantic evening in Paris. Visitors can also experience the views through special panoramic lifts, which leads to the top of the tower.
