Champagne Pool

Champagne Pool and Wai-O-Tapu, located in Waiotapu, is a geothermal park in the Taupo Volcanic Zone in New Zealand. At Champagne Pool you can see a volcanic crater, filled with water that is slightly effervescent from the gas percolating from below. The water is a unique blue-green color due to its mineral content. Wai-O-Tapu is known for its weathered silica terraces, thermal springs and mud pools, which display vibrant hues of yellow and deep terracotta red.
