📍 から Inside, Germany
The Brandenburger Tor is one of the most iconic monuments in Germany, symbolising the reunification of East and West Germany following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Located on the west side of the city centre, it is situated at the end of the famous Unter den Linden boulevard, a historic site and major thoroughfare in Berlin. It stands tall on a stone platform, and is framed by two iconic stone columns on either side. The gate itself is a grand arch topped with the Quadriga of Victory sculpture – a winged goddess chariot. During major gatherings, the Brandenburger Tor is illuminated, and the Quadriga is an iconic symbol of Berlin that can be seen from across the city. It's a highly popular tourist destination, offering excellent views of the surrounding city centre and the River Spree. The gate is also surrounded by the Tiergarten park, a large urban park located in central Berlin. Here, visitors can explore wildlife or relax on the park's many benches. Whether you want to learn more about history, enjoy stunning views, or just soak up the atmosphere, a visit to the Brandenburger Tor is sure to be memorable.
