The Basilica & Torre di San Prospero is a 15th-century religious complex in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Constructed on the remains of a pre-existing Roman basilica, the current building features a large brick basilica and a 70 m tall tower. With its distinctive red brick and terracotta facade, the complex is a shining example of late-Gothic architecture. Inside, visitors can admire impressive paintings and frescos depicting largely religious scenes. Along with its large bell tower, the complex was used as an important communication center between the Church and citizens. Visitors can still climb the tower, enjoy breathtaking views and appreciate the bell chime concerts held at 12 pm.
