Akchour Dam waterfalls is located in Akchour, Morocco. Located in between Chefchaouen and Oualidine, the 60m tall Akchour Dam is a spectacular sight. The Akchour waterfalls are made of reed-blue water as it cascades through the limestone rock formations. The stunning scenery is framed by tall mountains and a lush green layer of vegetation. You can find several rivers running through the area, most of them originating from the Rif Mountains. Akchour Dam is a great place to spend a few hours exploring. There is a small café and restaurant at the bottom, as well as guided tours up the valley. For nature lovers there are many hiking trails to explore with breathtaking views. You can even take a dip in the natural pools of the Akchour falls. A perfect place to relax and explore the region and its spectacular flora and fauna.
