Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument thought to have been built or used as a burial site sometime between 3000 and 2000 BC. Located near Salisbury, England, it is one of the most iconic sights in the United Kingdom, and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. Though mysterious in origin and purpose, its setting creates an atmosphere of awe and reverence for those who visit. Stonehenge is open daily for visitors to explore, wander, and imagine in its presence. Admissions include guided tours, an audio tour, and access to the nearby Stonehenge Exhibition and Visitor Centre. While photography is permitted with no flash, you can easily leave with a keepsake photo of the ancient site.
