Monumento de Fray Anton de Montesinos is a grand monument located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The monument is dedicated to Dominican friar Fray Anton de Montesinos, and commemorates his famous sermon against slavery and the colonial powers of the Catholic Church. It stands at the center of the city, within the Plaza de la Cultura, surrounded by green gardens. The monument was designed by the sculptor Miguel Galarza and constructed by the architect Ramon Gutierrez.
