Fleury Abbey in Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire, France is one of the most imposing abbeys in Europe. Built in the 11th century, the abbey was once home to some of the most powerful nobles in France. Today, the abbey stands proud, a testament to its medieval architecture and its religious importance to the region. The abbey is open to the public, who can explore its vast rooms and hallways filled with sublime tapestries and paintings. Visitors will also be able to admire the ancient tombs from the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as the statues still standing in the chapel.
