Třebovická tepelná elektrárna and Rozhledna Hošťálkovice are two gems of Ostrava, located in the Silesian region of Czechia. The Třebovická tepelná elektrárna is an iconic modernist architectural sight, a coal-fired power plant built in the early 1960s, a historical monument and an impressive reminder of the period. The Rozhledna Hošťálkovice tower is a part of a former military area, an observation platform and a great way to take a look at some of the most scenic parts of Ostrava. It is recommended to take along snacks as there are no restaurants or cafes nearby. Both places also offer plenty of photo opportunities, with great views and interesting structures to capture. Unfortunately, the tricky terrain and location can make it difficult to access some of the best angles and views, so it's best to be prepared.
