The Bow

The Bow is a distinctive skyscraper located in downtown Calgary, Canada. The owner of the building, Encana Corporation, wanted to make it an easily recognizable part of the Calgary skyline. The building was designed by British architect Steven Assael to be two connected towers with rounded glass covering over its entire exterior. The entire building is covered with thousands of LED lights, making it visible from a distance and complete with an observation deck where visitors can look out onto the city. The lower floor is home to a restaurant and access to a private pedestrian bridge linking the building to its neighbor, the City Hall, and to the Peace Bridge. There are many public art works in the lobby and around the building that can be seen while exploring the building and its grounds.
