The Statue von Maria Theresia von Habsburg is located at the Michaelerplatz, in the city center of Vienna, and is one of the most famous landmarks in Vienna. It depicts the Holy Roman Empress Maria Theresia dressed in the formal robes of a Habsburg ruler, and was unveiled in 1766. The statue is 8.5 meters tall and stands atop a granite pedestal, and is surrounded by four small angels which carry symbols of the Empress. It is one of the most famous statues in Vienna and is a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can explore the nearby Hofburg imperial palace, take a stroll through the cobblestone streets of Vienna, and of course take photos of the impressive statue!
