The Ruinas da Igreja de Queimados, or Ruins of Queimado Church, in Queimado, Brazil, is an interesting attraction featuring the ruins of an old nineteenth century church built by Franciscan missionaries and destroyed by fire. The story of its destruction remains something of a mystery, as some believe it was caused by an electrical impulse while others believe a lightning strike may have been the culprit. Visitors to the ruins can walk around the remains of the church, admiring its architecture and exploring the grounds.
