📍 Thailand
Phra Asada Maha Chedi is a unique, ancient temple in the Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang district city of Ayutthaya, Thailand. It dates back to the late 1700s, when Thailand was a Siamese kingdom. This temple is most unique for its large, curved stone columns that form an arch over the main entrance. Inside, visitors will find four layers of tall, white prangs (chedi) with each layer increasingly elaborated towards the top. The topmost layer is adorned with intricate, gold-colored filigree carvings. Visitors can explore and appreciate the sacred elements of this site, including an old Belltower and a Buddha statue that stands in its full glory, blessed with golden flames. Other interesting features include the Langka Tree Garden, which is believed to bring good luck, and a beautiful pond with goldfish. Phra Asada Maha Chedi is an interesting place to visit and appreciate the spiritual and cultural aspects of Thai Buddhism.
