Marsh's Library is one of Dublin's oldest buildings and a loved cultural landmark. It is located in St. Patrick's Close, just off Dublin's High Street. Founded in 1701 by Archbishop Narcissus Marsh, it is the first public library in Ireland and a renowned source of learning and research. It houses over 25,000 volumes, ranging from works on law, medicine, and modern literature, with some of the oldest volumes dating back to the 15th century. It is open to the public, with guided tours available, and it is particularly famous for its gorgeous spiral staircase. The library also includes an impressive collection of manuscripts and documents from the 18th century, many of them from Narcissus Marsh himself. With its unique architecture and beautiful setting, it is an admirable place for both researchers and tourists to visit.
