Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi

Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi (also known as the Sameba Cathedral) is the main cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church. Located in the Georgian capital of T'bilisi, it is an architectural masterpiece, with its huge copper dome and intricate designs it dominates the skyline. It was built in a Neo-Byzantine style, with neoclassical elements. The cathedral is home to an impressive collection of religious artifacts, as well as a stunning, intricate tilework fresco depicting the Last Judgement. Its bell tower also provides incredible views of the city from above. Visitors should be sure to take in the surrounding area, as it includes memorials to fallen soldiers and inspiring statues. While not open to the public, its unique beauty is worth a visit.
