Helles Memorial

Helles Memorial is a war memorial located in the village of Seddülbahir on the Gallipoli peninsula in Turkey. It was built between the years 1915-1917 in memory of the Commonwealth soldiers who died at the Battle of Gallipoli during World War I. It is one of several memorials located on the peninsula in respect of the allied forces that died there. The memorial is a tall stone structure with arcades and a tall, four-faced obelisk. It is open to the public who are free to explore the area and take in the memorial's memorializing atmosphere.
