Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the United States’ most iconic landmarks, located between Sausalito and San Francisco in California, USA. It was designed by engineer Joseph Strauss and completed in 1937, spanning more than one mile of the San Francisco bay. In addition to its incredible architectural beauty, the Golden Gate Bridge also boasts amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, Marin Headlands, and San Francisco itself. The best way to experience the bridge is to take a leisurely walk along it, starting from the paved pathway located on the south side of the bridge. Once on the bridge, you'll get the chance to appreciate its art deco design, distinctive orange color and even spot some birds soaring in the sky. You'll also be able to marvel at the plentiful wildflowers that grow along the pathway. From here, you can also get some impressive shots of the bay and city skyline. Getting to the bridge is easy as you can take either of the two highway approaches available or else drive up directly from Sausalito.
