Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge is perhaps the most famous bridge in the world and is San Francisco’s most iconic landmark. It spans 4,200 feet across the Golden Gate, the strait linking the San Francisco bay to the Pacific Ocean. The bridge was completed in 1937 and is still standing proud as the bright orange bridge it has always been. The impressive architectural feat is a great spot for taking photos, as well as to just appreciate the view of the city and bay. On the San Francisco side, the pedestrian walkway offers great access for taking photos. You’ll also get to see ships passing through the strait beneath the bridge. The views from the Marin County side are equally stunning. Bring a jacket though, as Golden Gate is notoriously windy.
