Fuente Farola is a charming fount in the center of Seville, capital of Andalusia, Spain. Located in the Alameda de Hércules, the fountain was originally designed by a French royal governor of the city in the 18th century. The structure is comprised of three greenish-brown marble Corinthian columns, with a bronze lion at the top that spouts water. The water is then collected in the three marble basins below. It is a peaceful spot that's great for a respite from the hectic city life. This fountain is representative of the beautiful Moorish and Baroque architecture in Seville and a great place for tourists to experience the history of the city. It's no surprise that the tasty ice-cream shops that encircle the fountain stay open late since it's such a popular spot!
