Embalse de Arenós

The quaint Spanish town of Puebla de Arenoso is home to two incredible landmarks - the Embalse de Arenós and the Castillo de la Viñaza. Embalse de Arenós, also known as Arenoso Reservoir, is a picturesque lake formed over the ruins of a 12th century castle, surrounded by a gorgeous landscape of meadows, woods and high peaks. Castillo de la Viñaza is an imposing fortress built in the 13th century. It towers high above the town and has a beautiful view of the reservoir. Other attractions in the area include the Convent of San Juan de los Frailes and the Monastery of Santa María de Arenoso.
