Chabola de La Hechicera

Chabola de La Hechicera is a piece of cultural heritage located near the village of La Carballeda in the province of Orense, in north-western Spain. The area, surrounded by gorgeous oak forests and green hills, is part of an important trail route that was in existence since the Roman era. The fortress itself dates back to the 8th century, and has become an important pilgrimage site in the Galician region. The defense tower, defensive walls, and the remains of a 12th century Romanesque style chapel, provide great insight into the history of the area. It is a great opportunity for travelers and photographers, to capture the picturesque views of the surrounding countryside, combined with the remains of this historic fortress site.
