Cape Newagen

Cape Newagen is located on the southwestern corner of Southport Island in Maine. It offers breathtaking views of the lobster boats and islands of Muscongus Bay. Enjoy the scenery along with the many species of birds that nest in the woods surrounding the area. Visit the historic Seal Cove and Lighthouse, which dates back to 1876. There are no facilities, so be sure to bring plenty of food, water, and warm clothes. Parking and road access can be problematic, so it's best to arrive via boat. Explore the beaches and take in the peace of this natural undisturbed oasis. It's a great place to get away and relax, as well as a great spot for fishing. Don't forget to bring your camera and binoculars, as there's many interesting sights to see.
