Athena Parthenos Statue

The Athena Parthenos Statue is an enormous 46-foot-tall replica of the original Parthenon statue that was once displayed in the ancient Greek temple of the same name. The replica is part of the six-acre Nashville Parthenon, built by the City of Nashville in 1897 as part of a 110-acre park. The replica was built with the materials available in the late 1800s, creating a fantastical version of the original statue. Of especial note is the solid bronze 28-foot-tall Athena, the central figure representing the city of Nashville. Visitors to the park enter the replica Parthenon where they can marvel at the scale and grandeur of the Athena Parthenos reproduction.
