The Melting House

The Melting House is a delightful building in Paris, France, that many of the city's avid photographers have fallen in love with. The building is a scenic blend of Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles and features three storeys and a soaring curved roofline with skylights. The beauty of this building is enhanced by the sheer variety of colors with which it has been decorated, ranging from warm tones of yellow, orange, and red, to cool blues and greens. Its most famous feature is the impressive, colorful facade that faces the nearby Place des Victoires, with an entrance decorated with basreliefs, curving lines and arabesques. It is a delight to take photos here, but be advised that the building is privately owned and permission should be sought before popping in for shots.
