Podhom

Podhom is a small hill in Radovljica, Slovenia. It is situated at the north-eastern foot of the Alps, so you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. Podhom features three distinct ecosystems that make it a great place for nature lovers. The entire hill is covered with the area's typical oak and beech woods, while the slopes feature grassy alpine meadows that stretch down towards the Sava River Valley. In the summit you can find a small church and a chapel, surrounded by rocky escarpments. A narrow gorge goes down from the peak towards the valley, providing stunning views of the village, the river and the Julian Alps. Hiking is a great way to explore the area, as the hill has trails for all skill levels.
