The Pilgrimage Church of Wies is a beautiful pilgrimage church located in Steingaden, Germany. It has Baroque-style frescos and a unique rococo interior. The most noteworthy element is the ceiling painting, "the Glorification of the Virgin Mary," decorated with 27,000 gold stars. The church was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and attracts thousands of visitors each year. Outside, you can find the picturesque pilgrimage garden with a central fountain, as well as numerous benches shaded by trees.
