Peña del Tejo is an exciting archaeological site located in the mountains of Montuerto, Spain. This mysterious mountain top is home to the remains of several Bronze Age megalithic monuments, including circular walls, burial mounds and a holy temple. The megalithic architecture is believed to date back to 6000 BC and likely served as a place of worship and as a burial ground. Today, the site is open to visits, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Peña del Tejo also features a modern interpretation center that provides information about the history of the region. The area is also a popular spot for outdoor activities including hiking, biking, bird watching, and rock climbing.
