Kerið

Kerið is an ancient volcanic crater located in Klausturholar, Iceland. It is a popular tourist destination and a great spot for photographers. It is filled with crystal clear water and surrounded by red volcanic rock and green mossy grass. You can walk along the rim of the crater or take a hike down to the bottom. A unique feature of Kerið is its multi-colored circular lake, displaying hues of blue, green, tan and black. This is due to volcanic ash deposits from the ancient eruptions.
