Hafenstadt Bremerhaven

Hafenstadt Bremerhaven is one of Germany’s largest harbors, based in the state of Bremen in north-west Germany. It is a symbol of the city and is a hallmark of Bremen’s importance as a historic trading partner. Tourists will enjoy strolling along the half-mile-long dock or taking a free ferry tour of the harbor. With a minimum of seasonally adjusted commercial and industrial traffic, the harbor remains a tranquil destination, where visitors can spot hopeful signs of marine life, from swarms of seabirds to playful seals. The harbor also has many galleries and history museums, as well as an aquarium. Nearby is the main attraction of Bremen – the old city district of Den Böttcherstraße, filled with traditional stores, galleries and a few restaurants.
