The iconic Flatiron Building in New York City towers above the city at 285 ft and covers a full-block area at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Broadway. The building was designed and constructed by Daniel Burnham, a renowned 19th century American architect, was completed in 1902 and served as a revolutionary model for future skyscrapers and office buildings. The characteristic triangular shape of the building has earned it an impressive portfolio of nicknames: "Flatiron Building" being the more popular one.
